I thought the story was kind of short. :/ Either way, the graphics were A+ but it wasn't like the rest of the FF series. Not much interactions and... no towns that have at least 2 human beings. Other than that, I loved playing it! OH and FF13-2 is coming out. I can't wait!

I didn't play this personally, I did what I always do, watched my partner play it:P

I agree I graphics were great, but the storyline didn't have the impact as some other FF. I found, much like with FF12 that I lost track, there didn't seem to be much structure, it was all over the place. The ending was so abrupt as well, it was like, oh is that it?

Good stand alone game, but when put up against earlier FF's, didn't really cut it.

well, i play it and still didn't finish it yet b/c of school, but i do like it and sometimes it is kind of boring b/c of not having much chances to explore like you say. but i do enjoy the cut scenes that's why i kept on playing the game. :la:

I just found it so boring, I can't even finish it because I completely lost interest. It’s so beautiful and lightning is interesting but the lack of exploration and interaction, not just with the world, but with your group, just completely kills any fun to be had.

After playing great fun, rpgs like Dragon Age which might not look pretty, it’s the romance choices, characters, the ability to talk and influence the characters in your group down different story paths, and epic storyline that makes Dragon age full of win, and ff13 just pales in comparison.

It was exciting and fun to play initially for FFXIII and the graphic is really pretty. But the longer you played, the lack of story and character development become more obvious and it kill the fun.. I think FFXIII is a disappointment because it is quite forgettable. So now im pinning all my hope on Final Fantasy Versus XIII and hope it is going to be epic!

I agree with what you say. A little linear, but the graphics took my breath away. I just wished we could have interacted more with the other characters. The fighting style was fun though and quite interesting. I haven't played many of the FF game series, but it's very different from the ones I played (mainly FFX and FFX-2 with a bit of FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus).

I completely agree. How beautiful it is is only really the thing that keeps me interested - the story in my opinion is pretty terrible.
I haven't even finished it. I think I'm about 25% (ps3) through but I just find it quite boring. Does it get better as it goes along?
I miss being able to explore. I love FFX because there was so many places to go, the characters were likable and you watched them develop. FFXIII really disappointed me. I hope the next one is an improvement.

about story I'm not sure about it because my english also not that good so I may not totally understand it,and it have a lot of FFXIII world special vocab like fal'cie,I'cie.It's make me feel headache sometimes althought I try my best to understand the story.I think it's not game fault,it's my fault.@_@;

I think game is quite Ok it's mean I can keep playing with slow pace, because,I quite enjoy cutscene and the battle also O.K althought it's very automatic system like parasigm shift and everything is done.

the game is not bad either I think.

if i want a good linear story with no exploration game, ff X and X-2 accomplish very well this....

ff XIII definitely NOT, it was a mega-fail, every battle takes forever (yes, the other part is that you have to be focused because every battle is hard and takes strategy and that's good) and just to gain crappy exp like if you were just battling a quick encounter.
Useless summons. In FFX they were pretty strong. The worst of it was the music... like 2 themes that were nice to hear.

But yes, nice landscape, nice character/bestiary design. Everything pretty and of course nice graphics.
The story wasn't good, the point of the story is poorly developed, but the dramas involving every character and their personal stories... that's something that i applaud.

And i guess that's my personal opinion. Maybe i dont like the story part because there are plenty of previous titles with better storyline. Maybe i REALLY hate the battle system because i do prefer the ff12 system, or maybe the classic one with change of scenario... but please... QUICK BATTLES, not eternals.

I didn't finish FFX also, the last FF I finish is FF8 so I don't know if compare to FFX anyway I heard that FFX also very good.

For me I think it's not 'mega fail' ,just not 'mega fun' for me.It's fun too,but I enjoy game like red dead redemption, batman more, sorry for compare to other genre, but compare to Tales of vesperia which is RPG I also prefer tales,I like Square-Enix game, and I understand how it hard to develop one game also so I can't said it's bad or fail,I think it's success in some term,I like some battle part.
