'This too shall pass'It's my favourite quote,currently and
I use it in my real life.
When I'm very happy,this too shall pass,
When I'm really sad,this too,also shall pass.
It's like thing I've ever read in book (Dhamma book)
Don't be too happy,or too sad.
No such thing last long.
You're not happy forever or sad forever.

Attar records the fable of a powerful king who asks assembled wise men to create a ring that will make him happy when he is sad, and vice versa. After deliberation the sages hand him a simple ring with the words "This too will pass" etched on it, which has the desired effect=================================================================================

Both are fleeting, which is my reason to appreciate them to their fullest while I can (ok, maybe appreciate is not the term for sadness- "wallow" is more apt, but I believe you get the point)

I didn't think it was very well known, I heard it first from my father a long time ago and still use it to help people get through hardships. Also for myself.
I'm surprised to see someone else talking about it actually, it makes me happy too though.
